Until now the app needed a school behind it. EDII Learn changes that: a learner signs in with their email and a code, and goes straight to the chapters, the reader, Explain this and Ask EDII — with their own tokens on Home. Alongside it, Voice 2 reads a chapter aloud in EDII's own narration voice, the app asks for location far less and opens faster, and the Teacher app makes attendance punches honest about which phone they came from.
For every release so far, EDII has assumed a school. The chapters, the reader and Ask EDII all sat behind a school login. EDII Learn (25.48.32) removes that assumption — a learner with no EDII school signs in with an email and a code and gets the same study material, on their own board's syllabus. The rest of the week went to the app itself: EDII's own narration voice on chapters, a noticeably lighter and less intrusive app, and a Teacher app that stops one phone quietly marking attendance for several teachers.
Everything EDII teaches — the chapter reader, Explain this, Ask EDII, the practice — has until now required a school to have signed up first. EDII Learn lets a learner reach it with an email address, on their own board's syllabus. For EDII schools, nothing changes except that the app got lighter, asks for location far less, and reads chapters aloud in a voice of its own. More next week.
