Buzz is now a social feed

Your school's photo wall grows up. This week Buzz becomes a proper social feed — write a post in seconds, and let staff, students and parents like, comment and engage with it. Pin the announcements that matter, see engagement at a glance, and edit any post after it's published.

11 enhancements Likes, comments & pinned posts

For years Buzz was a plain gallery of photos. This week it's reborn as a social feed the whole school community can actually take part in — posts instead of pictures, with likes and comments from staff, students and parents, pinned announcements for the news that matters, and an at-a-glance overview of engagement. You can now write and publish a post straight from the page, edit any post after it goes live, and link it to a calendar event or a student's achievement. Alongside Buzz, Visitor Management gains a handy date-range filter.

A real social feed for your school

Posts instead of a photo wall. Social Media → Buzz has been redesigned around posts. Each post shows up as a card with its pictures, the people it was shared with, and how long ago it was posted — far more readable than the old plain gallery.
Write a post right from the page. Compose a post — title, message and photos — straight from the top of the Buzz page, and choose whether it goes to the whole school or to specific classes and sections. The separate "Add Buzz" page is gone; everything happens in one place.
Likes and comments. Staff, students and parents can now like a post and leave comments — each card shows its like and comment counts, and students and parents can engage from the app too. Buzz finally talks back.
Pin important posts. Use the menu (⋯) on any post to Pin to top. Pinned posts are highlighted in a "Pinned Announcement" card so important news stays visible at the top of the feed.
Overview & highlights. A new header shows totals for posts, people engaged, likes and comments, plus an Upcoming Events list pulled from your school calendar and a Top Contributors list — so you can see your community's activity in one glance.
Search & filter the feed. Filter posts by type — Announcements, Achievements, Events, Photos, Videos — or search by title, message or tag to find any post in seconds.
Link a post to an event or achievement. While writing a post you can attach it to an upcoming calendar event or to a student's certificate/achievement, so the post shows a clear link and can be pulled up alongside that event or award.

Edit & manage your posts

Edit a buzz after publishing. Every image card in the Buzz gallery now has an Edit (pencil) button — change a post's name, description, tags, and the classes/sections it's shown to without deleting and re-creating it. Leave the class/section boxes empty to show it to the whole school.
Clearer class and section lists. When adding a buzz, the Classes and Sections dropdowns now show your class and section names exactly as they're set up in your school — no more forced "Class"/"Section" prefix in front of every name.
Faster galleries, real dates. Galleries with many photos now load 24 images at a time with a working Load More button, and each card shows when the buzz was actually uploaded (Today, Yesterday, and so on) instead of a placeholder.

Visitors, across a date range

Filter visitors by a date range. Alongside the existing single-day picker, Visitor Management → All Visitors now has a Date Range picker. Choose a start and end date to see every visitor across the whole period, with a new Date column to make multi-day results easy to read and the active range shown as a chip.
Back to a single day in one click. Click Clear Range to drop the range and go straight back to viewing a single day — no need to reload or re-pick anything.

A school that talks to itself.

Buzz used to broadcast; now it converses. Posts your community can like, comment on and rally around — with the important ones pinned to the top — turn a quiet photo wall into a living feed. Small steps, every week, toward a school that runs itself a little more. And we ship more next week.
